KGW Great Toy Drive Surprise at Lincoln Street

November 11, 2019 - Students in Ms. Stanford’s first grade class at Lincoln Street Elementary School thought it was just going to be another normal day on Wednesday, Oct. 30. But unbeknownst to them, volunteers from KGW and Toyota were about to pour into their classroom with gifts. 

The event helped kick-off KGW’s annual Great Toy Drive, and the class not only received toys, they will be featured in one of the Drive’s promotional commercials. (Check out the sneak peak video our staff made here or click below.) 

Toyota is one of the presenting sponsors of the Drive, along with Regence and Wells Fargo. And they not only brought toys with them, they also brought a furry friend that was very popular with the students. 

The KGW Great Toy Drive benefits more than 120 non-profit organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Donations can be made through December 13 at Regence and Wells Fargo locations, and through December 14 at local Toyota dealerships and at TVF&R fire stations. Learn more at kgwtoy.com/faq.

11 de noviembre de 2019- Los estudiantes de la clase de primer grado de la maestra Stanford en la Escuela Primaria Lincoln Street pensaron que iba a ser otro día normal el miércoles, 30 de octubre. Pero sin que ellos lo supieran, los voluntarios de KGW y Toyota estaban a punto de llegar a su salón de clases con regalos.

El evento ayudó a poner en marcha el Great Toy Drive anual de KGW, y la clase no solo recibió juguetes, sino que se presentarán en uno de los comerciales promocionales del Drive. (Mire un adelanto que nuestro personal hizo aquí).

Toyota es uno de los patrocinadores principales del Drive, junto con Regence y Wells Fargo. Y no solo trajeron juguetes con ellos, también trajeron a un amigo peludo que fue muy popular entre los estudiantes.

El evento de KGW Great Toy Drive beneficia a más de 120 organizaciones sin fines de lucro en todo Oregón y el sureste de Washington. Se pueden hacer donaciones hasta el 13 de diciembre en las ubicaciones de Regence y Wells Fargo, y hasta el 14 de diciembre en los concesionarios locales de Toyota y en las estaciones de bomberos TVF&R.
