To my wonderful Lincoln Street students, families, and staff,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to let you know I have made the very difficult decision to retire at the end of this school year. 

After eleven wonderful years at this school, it is so hard to think about leaving. My daily interactions with our bright, ambitious, and funny students; talented and dedicated staff; and supportive and caring families fill my emotional cup in ways that I could never express in words. 

I will be forever grateful for your trust in me and for your friendship. It has been my absolute honor to serve as your principal. 

Our Human Resources department will be reaching out separately with information about virtual feedback sessions for staff and families on Thursday, February 20 where you can share your thoughts on the qualifications and attributes you’d like to see in your next principal. If you are unable to attend, please complete the input form that will be shared in that email.

I look forward to these next several months and all of the achievements our students will make that we can celebrate together. Thank you for making Lincoln Street a truly special place and for everything you have given me.

Estimados estudiantes, familias y miembros del personal de Lincoln Street:

Les escribo esta carta con gran pesar para informarles que he tomado la muy difícil decisión de jubilarme al final de este año escolar. 

Después de once maravillosos años en esta escuela, es muy difícil pensar en retirarme. Mis interacciones diarias con nuestros maravillosos, diligentes y divertidos estudiantes, con miembros del personal talentosos y dedicados, así como con familias solidarias y comprensivas, me nutren emocionalmente de maneras que nunca podría expresar con palabras. 

Estaré siempre agradecida por su confianza y su amistad. Ha sido un verdadero honor servirles como directora. 

Nuestro Departamento de Recursos Humanos se comunicará por separado con ustedes para brindarles información sobre algunas sesiones virtuales que se llevarán a cabo el jueves, 20 de febrero donde los miembros del personal y las familias podrán proporcionar sus comentarios acerca de las cualificaciones y las características que les gustaría ver en su próximo director. Si no pueden asistir, por favor completen el formulario de comentarios que se compartirá en ese correo electrónico.

Los próximos meses serán una gran oportunidad para celebrar juntos los logros de nuestros estudiantes. Gracias por hacer de la Escuela Primaria Lincoln Street un lugar verdaderamente especial y por todo lo que me han brindado.
